The OK-LCD model is exactly what I need - a simple, comprehensive, research-based compass to help my team navigate the complexity we are currently facing in learning design. “Design for Modern Learning” aligns us all to a fresh, simple framework and a new, much-needed language so we can move swiftly and confidently. Instead of continuing to talk about how things need to change on many, many fronts, this book will enable my team to move into action!

Bringing in Career Indulgence as an external resource for our high school's career development program was very valuable - the additional information and wealth of knowledge brought from the outside really allowed the students to hear and see things from a different perspective. The students were highly engaged. They were able to self assess, draw out their inner desires/goals, and dream BIG.

I recently had the privilege of attending a speaking engagement by Crystal at an ASTD Atlanta Chapter event. Her topic of "Keeping the Gen Y Love" was timely, engaging, thought provoking and completely entertaining. Her audience was involved and engaged in a way that would make any speaker proud and I attribute it to her obvious expertise of the Gen Y topic. I highly recommend Crystal and will be looking forward to her next session.

Crystal delivered a message that helped me view my pre-conceived notions of generational stereotypes. She argues that the "Gen Y" people who are infiltrating our workforce are not as much of a "problem" as we often think them to be. Instead, she is challenging us to see the opportunity to look at the strengths that younger generations bring to the table: resourcefulness, courage, an undeniable spirit of entrepreneurship. Thanks Crystal for helping us remember that the diverse strengths we each bring to the table are what afford us a wonderfully broad perspective on work, and life.

Such an awesome presentation! I consistently cycle through digital comas such as the one I was about to start tonight but there is a lot of other things I could do. And so at least for today, I will not be in a digital coma!

Loved hearing you speak today! It was inspiring and very helpful to get a grasp on how to act and react to millennial perceptions. Can't wait to test out the YOLO vs FOMO concept. Thank you!

Right now I’m working on creating a community for my project, and I can’t wait to apply what I’ve learned today. Thanks again!

Shoko

I found the session on creating community to be thought provoking, especially around the actions I need to take both personally and professionally to staying in touch with work stakeholders and friends. The idea of ‘intention’ in particular resonated with me. I struggle sometimes to stay in touch with people via Whatsapp, FB, etc. but can see now that it just takes a little time/effort form my side.

The presentation and training today was so amazing to hear and be a part of! My team here at DTCC is split across two different states in the US, and we have team members in Manila, so this type of information is so valuable to me! I am looking forward to passing along some of the techniques and information to our team to use moving forward.
